Job Description
Create Precise Technical Drawings: Follow ASME Y14.5M – 1994 standards to produce accurate engineering drawings that meet project specifications.
Develop Innovative Concepts: Design and present new concepts that align with client needs, enhancing functionality and design efficiency.
Propose Cost-Efficient Solutions: Analyze and suggest cost-effective improvements without sacrificing quality.
Conduct Quality Checks: Perform quality inspections throughout the design process to ensure standards are met.
Client Collaboration: Work closely with clients to understand their requirements and translate them into clear design objectives.
Coordinate with Vendors & Quality Teams: Ensure vendors meet project quality and timing expectations, aligning materials and processes with compliance standards.
Update Reports Promptly: Maintain timely progress reports for stakeholder visibility.
Build Strong Team Relationships: Foster a collaborative environment with team leads and colleagues, supporting overall project success.
Eligibility Criteria
Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T): Proficient in interpreting and applying GD&T standards to ensure accurate measurements and precise part assembly.
Product Knowledge in Castings and Power Infrastructure: Experienced in castings, with specific expertise in substation, transmission, and distribution systems, along with cast enclosure products.
Software Proficiency: Skilled in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD, with the ability to create detailed 2D and 3D designs that align with project requirements.
Manufacturing Feasibility Studies: Capable of conducting feasibility analyses to evaluate design practicality, cost-effectiveness, and manufacturability.
Basic Electrical Knowledge: Understanding of electrical concepts relevant to power distribution and substation design.
Casting Foundry Process Knowledge: Familiar with casting processes, including foundry operations, to optimize production quality and efficiency.
Soft Skills: Strong communication abilities, mathematical skills, and reasoning skills essential for problem-solving and collaborative work.
