Job Description
Operating and maintaining production and utility equipment is a key responsibility. This involves correct operation, regular maintenance, and careful handling. Collaborating with senior team members or shift supervisors is essential to address any operational or maintenance issues efficiently.
Proficiency in extrusion and calendaring is required, along with strong mathematical skills for calculating material requirements, production metrics, and record-keeping in shift logs. Additionally, the ability to manage material movement equipment and troubleshoot minor operational or maintenance issues is crucial.
A positive attitude and teamwork are essential for completing tasks related to quality assurance, work-in-progress monitoring, packing, utility management, and feeding operations. Adherence to standard operating procedures and guidelines without deviation is mandatory.
Compliance with environmental, health, safety, and security (EHSS) norms and reporting any deviations or concerns promptly is vital. Maintaining cleanliness in the work area and following equipment housekeeping standards, including 5S principles, is important.
Strong interpersonal, learning, and communication skills are necessary for effective performance in this role.
Eligibility
Qualifications:
Diploma in Plastics Processing,
Plastic Engineering,
Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
Experience:
1-2 years of experience in Plastic extrusion, calendaring process, Film extrusion, Plastics Compounding, or Extrusion in thermoplastics.
Skills:
Proficiency in maintaining Quality Control standards and implementing Basic Quality Assurance measures.
Proficiency in Sheet-Film calendaring, Extrusion process, and troubleshooting.
Ability to calculate material requirements.
Basic Extrusion skills.
Strong interpersonal skills for coordinating with other manufacturing sub-functions and influencing.
Attitude:
Strong inclination towards compliance with EHSS procedures.
